Meditation Meetup Release
What you are agreeing to when you sit with other people on video. Short, because it should be readable in the thirty seconds before a sit starts.
1. What happens
A Meditation Meetup is a live video call. When you join one, your camera and microphone are transmitted directly to the other people in that sit. It does not pass through our servers. You will see and hear them, and they will see and hear you.
You are asked before every sit, not once. You can decline, leave at any moment, or turn your camera off and stay with audio only.
2. We do not record
Only Love LLC does not record Meditation Meetups. The video and audio pass through and are not stored by us. We keep only who attended and for how long, so the time counts as practice.
3. What we cannot control, and will not pretend to
Other participants can photograph or record their own screen, and we cannot prevent it. No video platform can. Software that claims otherwise is claiming something it cannot deliver.
So: treat a Meetup as being in a room with those people. Do not join one if you would not be comfortable being seen by everyone in it. If you want the practice without that, practice alone — it is the same engine, the same credit, and nothing leaves your device.
4. What you agree not to do
Do not record, photograph, stream or repost any part of a Meditation Meetup without the express permission of everyone in it. Do not share what is said or shown outside that group. Do not join with the intention of disrupting, harassing or filming other participants.
Doing any of these ends your access, and we will cooperate with any lawful complaint brought by somebody you have harmed.
5. You are on camera by choice
You confirm that you are joining voluntarily, and that you consent to your image and voice being transmitted to the other participants for the duration of that sit. You may withdraw at any time by leaving, and withdrawal takes effect immediately for everything after it.
You are responsible for what is visible behind you and audible around you. Check your surroundings before you join.
6. Conduct, and reporting
Hosts may remove anybody from a sit they host. You can report a participant to support@thetamind.now and we will act on it. Meditation groups attract people at vulnerable moments, and that is precisely why behavior here is not treated as a minor matter.
7. The rest
The Terms of Service apply to Meditation Meetups in full, including the assumption of risk in section 3 and the limitation of liability in section 5. Sitting with strangers can surface the same difficult material sitting alone can, and sometimes more.
